ART 642: Media-based Installation Studio

Graduate Studio | University of Maryland, Baltimore County   Visual Arts Department | Maryland| 4 units

 

This in-depth production course will develop competency in current media-based installation technology, software, concepts, and processes. In a workshop environment, students will learn how to create installations, performances, and/or interactive screen-based works utilizing projection mapping, physical computing, real-time processing, and audio/video synthesis software. Emphasis will be placed on self-directed projects that may include guerrilla projection, immersive installation, cinematic sculpture, reactive spaces, or generative compositions of sound or image.
